Brian Yacktman is Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager and a Principal of YCG. He has been managing money for over a decade. Prior to founding YCG, Brian was an Associate at Yacktman Asset Management, the adviser to The Yacktman Funds. He joined them in June, 2004 from Brigham Young University where he graduated cum laude with a B.S. in economics and an M.B.A with an emphasis in finance.
Will Kruger is Chief Executive Officer and a Principal of YCG. Will began his career as a financial analyst for one of the largest private banking teams in the country at the Private Banking & Investment Group at Merrill Lynch Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. During his time at Merrill Lynch, Will co-managed $1.3 billion in discretionary assets for high net worth individuals, endowments, and private foundations. Will joined Merrill Lynch from Brigham Young University where he graduated with a B.S. in accounting.
Elliott Savage is a Portfolio Manager and a Principal of YCG. He has been managing money for over a decade. Prior to YCG, Elliott was a Senior Analyst who worked directly with the founding partner at Highside Capital Management, a multi-billion dollar long/short equity hedge fund located in Dallas, TX. While at Highside, Elliott worked first as a generalist, then as an analyst in the Global Retail Group, and finally as the primary analyst in the Global Financials Group. Prior to joining Highside in 2003, Elliott worked as an investment banker in the Global Chemicals Group at Salomon Smith Barney in New York. Elliott joined Solomon Smith Barney from the University of Virginia where he was an Echols Scholar and graduated with distinction with B.A.’s in both Economics and Cognitive Science and a minor in Biology.
Michael joined YCG as a securities analyst in August 2010 after he graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Economics and a double minor in Business and Mathematics in April 2010. Michael received his M.B.A. with an emphasis in Investment Management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin in May 2014, and was also a recipient of the Sord Scholar Award and the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. Currently, Michael serves as the firm’s Senior Analyst and Lead Trader.
